Vanport Tree Walk on September 21, 2025

When: Sunday September 21, 9:30am

Where: Meet at the gate near Vanport Marker just outside of Portland International Raceway (see map below)

What: Dave Hedberg (Outdoor History Consulting) and Ryan Gilpin (Nidus Consulting) will lead a walk to see up to 4 trees that may have been part of the Vanport community back in the 1940s, as well as talk about the community, flood, trees as cultural touchpoints, the heritage tree program, and more.
